Palcoyo is a colored mountain similar to the classic Rainbow Mountain but there is not only one mountain in Palcoyo there are 3 different rainbow color mountains like ocher and red colors, with green, blue and white stripes. In Palcoyo also you will see the stone forest and local people dressed in their traditional costumes accompanied with their Llamas and Alpacas.
In this tour to Palcoyo you enjoy beautiful landscapes and the beautiful colors of Palcoyo mountain this circuit does not require much physical condition and you can do it easily and reaching it only requires a gentle walk of 1 hour and without unevenness, making it a less demanding alternative than the long trek to Vinicunca also we provide you with breakfast and lunch.
DAY 01: CUSCO – CUSIPATA – PALCOYO – CUSCO
- Pick up time from your hotel is from 5:30 to 6:00 am
- It takes 3 hours car ride from Cusco to Palcoyo
- The time that you spend in Palcoyo is 2-hour hiking in the area of Palcoyo mountain to see all
- Car ride back to Cusco takes around 3 hours
- You will be back in Cusco around 4:30 pm
- We stop in Cusipata town for breakfast and lunch each time for 1 hour approximately
We are going picking up everyone from their respective hotels, we will go to the town of Cusipata by car for 2 hours where we will make a stop at the restaurant to have a delicious breakfast, which will take about an hour and then we continue in the same car for 1 more hour towards the Palcoyo Mountain. Once you arrive to the Palcoyo Mountain you will get ready to start the exploration in the place and the guide will take you to see the three colored mountains and the stone forest and you will have enough time for photographs, listen to the explanation of the guide and enjoy of the area. After we will get ready for the return by car to the town of Cusipata for 1 hour to have a buffet lunch and then 2 more hours by car back to Cusco.

OPTION HORSEBACK RIDING: 80 soles or 22 dollars.
This is an OPTION for those who are not able to hike or just want to enjoy a horseback riding in the mountains. Once you arrive at the beginning of the Palcoyo Mountain hike you can rent a ridding horse from the locals directly with the help of the guide. The price that they charge for the horse usually is 80 soles or 22 dollars and the horse will take you to the Palcoyo mountain and take you back also the owner of the horse will be pulling the horse ahead and you only have to sit down on the horse and enjoy.

Booking online: If you like to book the Rainbow Mountain tour online, we request a deposit of 20 dollars per person and the remaining balance you can pay once you arrive in Cusco at our office if you are not able to come to our office you can pay to the tour guide once you are on the tour also is possible to pay the full amount online.
Booking at the office: If you like you can come to our office in Cusco to book the rainbow mountain tour one of our salesperson will give all the details of the tour and taking your reservations. You can book the rainbow mountain tour even one day before.
